Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems

Mission

To advance research and innovation in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems, our team is dedicated to developing intelligent, adaptive, and data-driven solutions that address real-world challenges across multiple domains including software engineering, signal and image processing, decision support systems, and smart technologies.

Research Focus

Machine Learning and Deep Learning: Designing and developing advanced ML/DL models for prediction, classification, optimization, and intelligent decision-making,
Intelligent Systems and Data Analysis: Building intelligent systems capable of learning, reasoning, and adapting to complex environments and large-scale data,
Computer Vision and Signal Processing: Applying AI techniques in image analysis, signal processing, pattern recognition, and multimedia understanding,
Natural Language Processing and Knowledge Extraction: Developing NLP-based approaches for text analysis, information retrieval, and human-computer interaction,
AI Applications in Software Engineering: Exploring the use of AI methods for software quality assessment, automation, maintenance, and intelligent development tools.

Dr Mohammed ZAGANE

Team head

Dr Mohammed ZAGANE, currently works as Professor Researcher at the department of computer science, University of Mustapha Stambouli, Mascara. He holds PhD in computer science from University of Oran1, Oran and Magister in computer science from ESI (higher national school of computer science, Algiers). His research interest include : Application of Machine learning and Deep learning in Software Engineering and Intelligent Systems.

Dr Brahim CHEROUATI

Team member

Dr Brahim CHEROUATI, currently works as Professor Researcher at the department of computer science, University of Mustapha Stambouli, Mascara. He holds PhD in computer science from University of Oran1, Oran. His research interest include : Application of Machine learning and Deep learning in Signal Processing and Intelligent Systems.

Dr Ahmed BOUDAIB

Dr Ahmed BOUDAIB, currently works as Professor Researcher at the department of computer science, University of Mustapha Stambouli, Mascara. He holds PhD in computer science from University of Oran1, Oran. His research interest include : Application of Machine learning and Deep learning in Signal and Images Processing, Computer Vision, and Intelligent Systems.
